Care That Endures,
Skills That Empower.

There is some great information on our Where To Start page, but here’s a condensed version.
We choose the level of certification you need/want based on profession and your requirements.
If this is the first time you’ve been certified, or if you’re renewing your certification.
We determine a learning method that works best for you (blended learning or in-person).
We determine the organization that best fits your needs. The two we currently offer are the American Heart Association (AHA) and the American Red Cross.
-
“Was that today!?”
Lasting Heart can help with last minute certifications. Typically, we recommend taking a blended learning course. You will get access to the content immediately through the certifying agency’s website, then we provide a short in-person skills practice/examination.
-
The American Heart Association is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to building healthier lives by preventing and treating heart disease, stroke, and other cardiovascular conditions. Many health-care organizations accept AHA as their preferred certifying agency.
-
The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization committed to preventing and alleviating human suffering in emergencies by mobilizing volunteers and the generosity of donors. American Red Cross is popular among volunteer organizations and those seeking OSHA compliance.
-

CPR & First Aid for the non-healthcare provider. These classes range from basic to advanced. They prepare the rescuer to intervene in trauma-related emergency situations with confidence and competence.
-
BLS focuses on educating the healthcare provider to have the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to assist in life-threatening emergencies.
-
Advanced Life Support classes give healthcare workers more “tools in the toolbox” to provide care in more advanced ways.
Our library of courses will soon expand to include ACLS, PALS, and more. -
We offer many additional certifications to you through our organizations such as:
Inhaler use
Epinephrine pen use
Naloxone use
Bleeding control
Bloodborne pathogens
Why it’s important
CPR and First Aid have been proven to increase survivability in life-threatening situations.
Each year in the U.S., 805,000 people will have a heart attack.
Survival rates have been seen as high as 70% if an AED is used within 2 minutes.
Each year in the U.S., 795,000 people will have a stroke.
In 2021, there were 7.25 million deaths attributed to strokes worldwide.
80% of strokes are preventable.
Trauma is the leading cause of death in the U.S. in ages 1-44 years old.
Research suggests 59% of traumatic deaths could have been prevented with simple First Aid interventions prior to EMS arrival.
